Antique Victorian CRANBERRY GLASS & Repousse Silver Plate SUGAR BASKET c1860 OLD

For sale is this adorable Victorian cranberry glass lined sugar basket or bowl. I would estimate it was made between 1840 and 1870. It is decorated with repousse oak leaves and acorns and stands on three scallop shell feet. The handle of the basket is engraved to look like rope. With the handle lowered, the basket is about 3 3/4 inches tall and the diameter of the hand-blown cranberry glass liner is about 4 inches. Both frame and liner are in good condition with no losses to the silverplate and no chips or cracks in the liner. Glass insert would need to measure 5×7 oval. Fab Late 1800s English Silver Plate Cut Glass/Crystal Claret Jug Pitcher Ewer. Presented is a classic English cut glass/crystal and silver plate claret jug or lidded pitcher, dating to around the 1870s-1880s. The glass body of the piece is beautifully cut with rayed sunburst and lattice patterns, while the silver plate mounts are nicely cast and have finely hand engraved floral designs around the collar, all quite detailed and well done. The pitcher has a capacity of about 4 cups, or 32 fluid ounces/0.95 liters. This piece is in excellent condition. The silver plating is in great shape, and the engraved decoration is nice and crisp. There are no splits, no dents, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs to the silver plate portion, and no chips, no cracks, and no repairs to the glass/crystal. This piece stands about 10 3/4 inches tall to the top of the finial, and measures about 5 3/4 inches from handle to spout, or about 4 1/8 inches in diameter at the base.
