Topazio Casquinha Portugal Cut Glass Silver Plated Rococo 13 1/2Claret Jug 1950. This is in Excellent Condition with No Chips No Cracks No Dents No Dings. Very nice Topazio Casquinha Portugal Claret Jug. This features silver plate embossed rococo type foliage on a hinged lid and foot. It has a baluster floral etched glass bowl which is clear and bright. The neck has panels with cherubs, beads and buffalo in relief. The handle continues the rococo style in a “C” shape connecting to the neck and collar. The base has the T Crown mark and the letter B. This measures 13 1/2 High x. 5 1/2 Wide at the widest point. Cruet does not match the other 4 pieces. 1 cruet (does not match the other 4 pieces). 2 shakers with silver plate tops. 1 condiment jar with silver plate lid. 1 jar without a lid. Interesting bubbles & factory flaws in the glass. Cruet is 8 1/4 tall. Shakers are 6 3/4 tall. Condiment jar is 5 3/4 tall. Used – AS IS CONDITION. Silver is slightly tarnished & needs polishing. Wear in the silver plate – mostly on the handle. Brass is showing through. Cruet is a different pattern than the other 4 pieces. Shaker top is missing on the 5th piece. The pattern number is 252 It measures 23cm by 17cm for the base and It is 5cm tall It has a glass liner which I believe is original to the item. The marks are on the back – I have taken a photo of these. There are a few nibbles to the glass liner. The plating is rubbed in places. Shown on page 285 of the 1906 catalogued called Art Nouveau Domestic Metalwork from Wurttembergische Metallwaren Fabrik. Vintage Silver-Plated Desk Stand. This vintage silver-plate desk stand looks to date from the first half of the twentieth century. There are no maker’s marks. The stand is rectangular and is supported on four claw and ball feet. It retains two cut glass inkwells with silver-plated tops. Condition: Overall in fair-good condition with some wear consistent with age and use. The plating is badly worn, and the copper underneath shows though. It also has some pitting and denting in places. The cut glass inkwells have some quite heavy wear and scratching and one is cracked at the top. One of the silver-plate tops of the inkwells has some holes. Measurements are as follows. 23.5cm long, 10cm wide.
