The whole decanter is facet cut with large optic concave thumbprints as is the amazing gourd shape stopper encapsulated in the silver plated hinged rim to provide a protected area for the glass stopper. The series of very large optic thumbprints and other concave windows make a optic glass cutters dream.. It is in great condition, it truly is a stunning example of Victorian cut glass at its best. The silver plate is marked Elkington & Co and Millar’s Patent on the opposite edge. This has to be my favourite and most complicated cut to date and well worthy of a special patented collared stopper. MEASUREMENTS: Height 12 1/2″ x diameter at widest point 5″.
