Victorian Silverplate Centerpiece Glass Brides Basket Epergne 3 Chained Dogs
Please see images and read condition description. Please keep in mind when. Beautiful Victorian footed silver plate centerpiece with a tricorn shaped base and on each corner is a snarling chained dog. At the top, sits a red & white opaline ruffled glass brides basket. The dish is period but is not the original to the base. The glass bowl has a base dimension of 2.5″ and the centerpiece has a 2.75″ so there is a little wiggle room. It displays beautifully and you cannot tell. This fits great on top and has a very elegant look. The base is in very good condition for its age with no missing parts, some numbers on bottom but no makers mark. My hunch is that the base is English but not sure. The glass top has a very small nick edge and is about 10.5 wide. The base has some brass metal coming through as you may see from some of my photos. The base alone is just under 7.25″ tall and about 7 5/8″ wide on each side. The whole thing is about 10 1/8 tall with glass top. Just about 4 lbs total weight before packing. Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. International Buyers Please Note.
